What
is a “Work Share”?
A “workshare” is an opportunity for a member to work
for half of their membership, while paying for the other half. Workshares
pay for a four week membership ($112), receiving instead 8 weeks,
for which they commit to work 2 ½ hours a week for each of
the 8 weeks. Workshares must receive a box weekly (not bi-weekly)
and cannot choose home delivery. Workshares are invaluable for the
prosperity of a small-scale farm. If this sounds enticing, then

1. The Farm Crew
Farm workshares will come to the farm once a week for 2 ½
hours throughout the season to help out with farm tasks. While this
work is primarily in the field, sometimes we need a group to tackle
a project indoors. And don’t worry, you don’t need to
know how to harvest or have a set of tools that would make Bob Villa
jealous to work on the farm. All we ask is a willingness to work
and learn, and to show up on your planned day! This is a good workout,
so come prepared! Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri starting no later than 9:00
am.
2.
The Warehouse Crew
Our warehouse workshares will visit the distribution warehouse once
a week, for 2 ½ hours to help out with the preparation of
the produce and preparation for distribution. For those who want
less of a tan, this is a better choice. This option is year round.

Q and A
Q My wife’s third cousin is getting married
in August and I will have to miss a week. Is that ok?
A Sure! We encourage people to enjoy their summer!
Workshares are allowed 1 suspension for the duration of their 8
weeks. They must suspend by the Friday 10am deadline just like other
members, and be sure to send an email to info@nmorganics.com to
let our CSA manager know you'll be gone. Dependability is needed
in all facets of life, the farm is no exception.
Q What if something comes up last minute after
the suspension deadline and I cannot come?
A Workshares are still required to pick up their
box for that week. Since they did not work that week, we remove
one of the additional boxes from the end of the membership that
they were to receive in exchange for that weeks work. This suspension
can be made online, but you must notify Becca who will be sure to
let our Farm and Warehouse managers know.
Q Can I bring my kids along?
A We at Los Poblanos Organics feel that child labor
laws are overrated and welcome participation from any and all of
the family. Kids over the age of 10 are welcome to help their parents
with the workshare, but young children (although they have small
hands for weeding) cannot keep up with the stoop labor, so we ask
them to wait a few years before coming to join us.
Q Can my husband and I split our shift?
A No Problem! A shift can be split by two people,
they would come together for 1 ½ hours instead of the 2 ½.
